The 7th Annual City Tour Championship will be held from September 4th – 5th at Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run in Kohler Wisconsin. The site of the 2021 Ryder Cup, Whistling Straits has also hosted three PGA Championships, a U.S. Senior Open while Blackwolf Run has played host to two U.S. Women’s Opens. These legendary Pete Dye designs will provide an unforgettable experience just 3 weeks before the Ryder Cup! All participants will have the option to play The Straits either Friday or Monday of Championship weekend.
Just inland from the great lake and interspersed by four meandering streams, the grassland-and-dunes aspect of the Irish course is a deceivingly tranquil landscape. Both traditional and memorable, the Irish course is full of unique challenges.
The Irish at Whistling Straits was ranked #39 in GolfWeek’s 2018 Best Resort Courses and #43 in Golf Digest’s 2019/2020 America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses.
The Meadow Valleys
Described as both subtle and devilish, it winds through meadows and charges across ravines, reflecting the natural features of the Wisconsin terrain. This championship course challenges even the experts to weigh the relative advantages of distance and accuracy.
The Meadow Valleys was ranked #57 in Golf Digest’s ranking of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses for 2019/2020.
Cross off a bucket list experience playing The Straits amongst the grandstands and scoreboards that will be set up for the 2021 Ryder Cup. Ranked as the #1 golf course in Wisconsin and #21 in the country, this links-style course sculpted along two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline is a Pete Dye masterpiece. The Straits has fescue fairways and massive sand dune bunkers that will challenge the best in world while offering amateur’s an unforgettable experience. This course will play host to the 2021 Ryder Cup from September 24-26th, just 3 weeks after the City Tour visits the facility.
