The 6th Annual City Tour Championship will be held from December 4th – 6th at Kiawah Island’s Championship Courses Turtle Point and Osprey Point in South Carolina. Kiawah Island is one of the most visited golf destinations in the world and is well known for its ocean views and pristine golfing conditions. The resort has hosted the Ryder Cup, Senior PGA Championship and PGA Championship, the latter of which will return to The Ocean Course in May 2021. All participants will have the option to play The Ocean Course either Friday or Monday of Championship weekend.
Players staying on site can enjoy access to the pool, fitness facilities and all amenities. Learn more about pricing, the courses and tournament packages below.
The Turtle Point course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and has also received many accolades from Golf Digest magazine. Turtle Point hosts many regional tournaments including the Carolina Amateur. The final 5 holes of Turtle Point run along the ocean and are considered some of the best on Kiawah’s property, with the par-4 15th the “signature hole”.
This course will provide a great challenge and stunning views for both best ball and scramble players in the City Tour Championship.
This used to be a members only course as the Kiawah regulars wanted Osprey all to themselves! Renovated by Tom Fazio in 2014, Osprey Point is now open to the public and is noted for its playability and natural beauty. Each hole is unique and it’s known for its extremely distinctive par-5’s.
Osprey will likely play as the easier of the two courses, with a shorter and simpler layout.
The Ocean Course
Join the ranks of golfers who finally get to cross The Ocean Course off their must-play list. Ranked as the #1 golf course in South Carolina, this course boasts the most seaside holes in the Northern Hemisphere and it’s unlikely that any other golf course outside of the United Kingdom and Ireland is as affected by wind. Players have unobstructed views of the ocean on 10 holes, with the other 8 running just parallel. This course will play host to the 2021 PGA Championship May 17-23rd, just 5 months after the City Tour visits the facility.
We have secured discounted room blocks at Kiawah’s Premier and Deluxe Villas. Since Kiawah has so many different options, Championship participants can call in directly to Kiawah to learn all the different lodging options and book your stay.
The villa offerings at Kiawah Island Golf Resort include complete access to world-class amenities—including two interactive pool complexes—in addition to exclusive savings and preferred reservations around the resort.
“In our villas, you’ll enjoy solid surface counters in the fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, flat screen TVs in the living room and bedrooms and designer touches throughout for the ultimate island escape.”

2020 will mark the 6th year of Nextgengolf City Tour Championship. Last year’s championship hosted 208 players all looking for a chance to crown themselves the national champions. The Green Jackets took home the scramble title and Tarcy’s Team secured the best ball title.
The National Championship was formed in 2014 when an age-old rivalry between Boston and New York was held in a Ryder Cup format on September 21, 2014. New York edged out Boston 16 1/2 to 15 1/2 to win the 2014 Championship. After the 2014 season, Nextgengolf expanded Nationwide and ran the 2015 City Tour Championship at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Chicago, the 2016 Championship at Seaview Golf Club in Atlantic City, 2017 Championship at True Blue & Caledonia in Myrtle Beach, the 2018 Championship at TPC New Orleans and the 2019 Championship at Pinehurst Resort.
